Gerber Infinity LED Repair

Gerber is known for its multitools and outdoor knives. In addition to the knife products, Gerber produces camping and outdoor recreation headlights and flashlights. Among the light offerings is the Infinity series of handheld flashlights. The Infinity lights use a single LED light that Gerber claims will never wear out or need replacement. The Infinity light is powered by a single AA battery that will last up to 60 hours.

Instructions

Unscrew the battery cap and pull the AA battery out from the Infinity housing. Scrub the battery connection points on the inside of the housing and on the end of the battery cap. Use the toothbrush to dry scrub off any corrosion or gunk that accumulates when the light is not used for extended periods of time.

Pour a little cola into a cup. Dip the toothbrush into the cola and scrub the battery connections with the cola. Cola-based sodas counteract the battery acid accumulation and lifts it off the metal connectors on the light. Wipe off all cola and debris. Let the light dry.
