1
Check the power cord if the ProForm stepper loses power suddenly or is not working. Plug the unit into a grounded three-prong outlet or replace the circuit breaker or fuse as necessary. Locate the circuit breaker switch on the base of the device and push in the switch if it has tripped.
-
2
Place a carpet or mat underneath the stepper if the unit rocks slightly during use or is damaging the floor. Set the stepper on a stable, strong floor surface capable of supporting the weight of the machine.
-
3
Replace the batteries in the console if the buttons on the console do not work or are not tracking information accurately. The battery compartment is located on the underside of the console. Open the battery compartment and replace the two AA batteries. Line up the positive end on each battery with the "+" symbol inside the battery compartment. Push each battery firmly into position before closing the compartment.
-
4
Step on the stepper and move your feet or press the "Power" button if at least six minutes have passed since the unit was last used. The system automatically turns off after six minutes of inactivity.
-
5
Change the resistance setting if the steps seem too easy or move too quickly. Wait for the machine to cool and then locate the collars on the cylinders above the foot pedals. Turn each collar to the desired resistance setting, noting that higher settings will increase the overall resistance. Set each collar to the same setting.
