Instructions for a Timex Ironman Solar

The Timex Ironman Solar watch runs on a rechargeable battery and solar cell. It features a standard watch with 12 or 24-hour format, hourly chime and the ability to monitor the time in three time zones. The 100-hour chronograph has a memory that holds 50 laps-splits. The Timex Solar also has a 24-hour countdown timer, Indiglo night-light and three customizable alarms. Program the watch with the four buttons on the side of the watch face and the large button on its top.

Instructions

  1. Set Time and Date

      Press and hold the "Set-Recall" button until the time zone begins flashing.

      Choose time zone one, two or three. Press the "Start-Split" button repeatedly to highlight your choice.

      Press the "Mode" button. The hour value begins flashing. Press the "Stop-Reset" button to decrease the value or the "Start-Split" button to increase the value. When you reach the chosen value, press the "Mode" button. The minutes value flashes. Continue using the "Stop-Reset" and "Start-Split" buttons to select and value and the "Mode" button to move to the next option. Select the minutes, seconds, month, day, year, 12 or 24-hour format and date format.

      Press "Set-Recall" to save and exit.

    Use the Chronograph

      Press the "Mode" button to enter chronograph mode.

      Press the "Start-Split" button to start the stopwatch.

      Press the "Stop-Reset" button to stop the stopwatch.

      Press the "Start-Split" button to resume the stopwatch or press and hold the "Stop-Reset" button to clear the stopwatch.

      Press the "Start-Split" button while the stopwatch is running to record a lap split.

    Use the Timer

      Press the "Mode" button until "Timer" appears in the screen.

      Press the "Set-Recall" button. Note that the hours value begins flashing. Use the "Start-Split" and "Stop-Reset" buttons to change the value as you did when setting the time. Press the "Mode" button to move to the next value. Set the hours, minutes and seconds.

      Press the "Set-Recall" button to save your settings. Press "Start-Split" to start the timer countdown.

      Press the "Stop-Reset" button to pause the timer, and then press the "Start-Split" button to resume the timer or the "Stop-Reset" button to reset the timer.

    Set an Alarm

      Press the "Mode" button until "ALM" appears.

      Press the "Set-Recall" button. The hour value flashes. Use the "Stop-Reset" and "Start-Split" buttons to change the value and press the "Mode" button to move to the next value. Set the hour, minutes and AM-PM setting.

      Press "Set-Recall" to save your settings and exit. Turn the alarm on or off by pressing the "Start-Split" button.
