1
Choose a durable but lightweight fabric that will allow your hands to breath. Pin a 1/2 inch hem into the fabric and sew it by hand or with a machine.
-
2
Flip the fabric over and fold it, so there is 2 inches of additional cloth on the top. Pin the edges a 1/2 inch along the outer edge and sew.
-
3
Turn the piece inside out, creating a 3 by 3 1/2 inch pocket with a 2 by 4 inch flap. The width of the flap will overlay the pouch by a 1/2 inch on each side. This can be modified with an additional hem or left to extend over the pouch.

4
Pin one half of the Velcro to the top of the flap and sew. Pin the other half of the Velcro to where the flap will meet the pouch and sew. Pin the pouch to the top of the glove and hand sew, using double threading for the stitch.

Use a food scale to measure one pound increments of sand into the plastic baggies. If sand is not available, use pennies. 125 pennies equals one pound. Insert desired number of baggies into the pouch and secure them with the Velcro.
