1
Obtain the circumference of the bicycle's tires in centimeters. There are charts of tire size to circumference on-line (see Resource) and cycling maintenance books. For example, a 700 x 23C tire has a circumference of 2105 cm.
-
2
Locate the three buttons that control the Micro Wireless: there is a gray button on the back marked "MENU," a button on the face shaped like a smile (the MODE button), and a third button on the bottom edge (the START/STOP button).
-
3
Wake the computer if it is in sleep mode by pressing any button. Press the MENU button (on the back of the computer). The computer will respond with the select prompt, "Slct."
-
4
Press the MODE button once. The computer will display the current calibration setting. The default on most Cateye cyclocomputers is 2096 cm.
-
5
Press the START/STOP button once. The fourth (ones) digit will flash. Press the MODE button to advance the numbers. Press the START/STOP button again to change to the third (tens) digit and advance with the MODE button. Continue if needed for the second and first digits.
-
6
Press the MENU button to complete the calibration step. Press MENU again to return the cyclocomputer to normal operation.
