Snowmobile Trails in Montana

Montana's mountains, valleys and open spaces provide snowmobilers with a winter wonderland of recreation. With some of the best areas to snowmobile in the nation, the fourth-largest state has thousands of miles of groomed trails for the winter sport. Local snowmobile clubs groom the trails, and local businesses offer guided tours and rentals.

Snowmobilers can ride in the areas of geothermal attractions such as Old Faithful and catch glimpses of the park's abundant wildlife, including bison, elk, grizzly bears, wolves and more in the nation's first national park. The majority of roads into the park are open to snowmobiles. Make sure to check the park's website or contact the West Yellowstone Chamber of Commerce for information on winter trail dates and park regulations.
