How to Customize Your Own Boston Red Sox Jersey

      Log on to the Red Sox shop on Major League Baseball's website at Shop.mlb.com. You will be taken to a page with a variety of Red Sox jerseys from which to choose. There are home and away jerseys, both authentic and the less expensive replica versions.

      Click on the picture of the shirt that you wish to customize. You will be taken to a page with larger versions of the jersey, front and back. Inspect the shirt version to make sure that this is the one that you want.

      Click on the green "customize" button on the right. This will open up a form to fill out, telling the details of how you want your shirt designed.

      Fill in the text boxes for the name and the number that you wish to add to the jersey. You are allowed up to 12 letters and two numerals at the most. After you have filled in the lettering to your design, click on the "preview" button. You will be taken to a page with your design showing.

      Inspect the design with the name and number on it. Decide if this is the way you want your shirt to look. If the shirt is acceptable, select the size in the same text box area and indicate how many shirts you wish to purchase. Click on the "add to cart" button to be taken to the checkout.

      Inspect the price, including the shipping, to make sure that this is what you want to buy. Personalized jerseys are not returnable, so make sure that you are getting exactly the jersey that you want. After you double check the total price, click on the "proceed to secure check out" button.

      Enter your billing address, credit card details and the number of any discount code that you may have. Click on the final button and you will be taken to a final receipt page. Print this out for your records. Your shirt should arrive in 7 to 10 business days.
