1
Show off your support for one player by stenciling his name onto your baseball cap. Use letter stencils to ensure you make the letters even and use a ruler to help equally space each letter as you paint the name on with non-washable fabric paint. You may also paint the team name again or the most current owner or coach's name onto the cap.

2
Paint your own design onto the baseball hat. Instead of the traditional Red Sox logo or "B" on most Res Sox hats, try painting a design around the logo or doing the logo yourself with fabric paint. To truly customize the hat, you must paint the logo or design free-hand using only the paint and a paintbrush.

3
Color your hat with fabric dyes to customize your Red Sox wear. Try dying a white hat to make a color all your own, or use several shades of fabric dye to tie-dye your baseball hat. To dye the hat you must use a fabric dye specified for the baseball hat material. For tie-dying, remember to use rubber bands to produce the uneven coloring.

4
Dress up the look of your hat and create a custom show of support by adding Red Sox-themed pins and patches to the exterior of your baseball hat. Show how much of a fan you are by pinning on all your Boston buttons, pins and sewing on all your patches. Cover your ball hat to let other fans know the extent of your obsession with the team.

5
Make your Red Sox hat a bit more feminine by adding ribbon and lace trim to the brim of the hat. Use either needle and thread or fabric glue to attach the pieces and create a custom, chic cap for the lady Red Sox fan.
