Packers Family Fun Night Activities

The Green Bay Packers feature a special night each year before the season begins known as Family Night. This night features low-cost tickets for fans to enjoy a day of fun activities with their favorite team. Each year, fans can take part in a full day of activities, starting mid-morning and lasting into the evening.
  1. Early Activities

    • The atrium of the stadium opens in the middle of the morning, giving visitors the opportunity to take part in many activities before the actual Family Night activities begin. The team participates in drills and small scrimmages on the field during the day for fans to watch. The Packer Experience, sponsored by Kemps, allows visitors to try out throwing, catching and kicking a football. A trampoline show runs at two different times. A rock climbing wall, sidewalk chalk, temporary tattoos and crafts are all available in the afternoon through the scrimmage.

    Picnic

    • Because many visitors spend the entire day at the stadium, the Family Night picnic, which runs from lunchtime until just before kickoff offers food for purchase. Options include corn on the cob, brats, water and Popsicles. All proceeds from this portion of Family Night go to the Roundy's Foundation to help hunger relief, families recovering from abuse and literacy programs. The picnic is located on the east side of Lambeau Field in the parking lot.

    Pregame

    • Before the kickoff of the Family Night scrimmage, families can watch a number of activities on the field. Several youth football teams play short scrimmages. The trampoline act does one last show on the field. The Packers team comes out for pregame drills and the Green Bay Elite Dance Group gives the fans a show before the game. Just before the kickoff, the Oneida Nation Dance Performance performs.

    Scrimmage

    • The main event of the night is the scrimmage between the Packers team. This game is treated just like any other NFL game, including the pregame singing of the national anthem and team introductions. The stars of the team will all play at least a portion of the game. The game typically begins around 7:40 p.m. However, due to the fact that Lambeau Field is not covered, if there is inclement weather in the area, the game will be canceled.

    Postgame

    • There is no need to rush out of the stadium once the game is completed. Some people will leave in a hurry to beat the traffic, but if you stick around, more activities happen after the game. Following the game, drawings are done to give away about 20 jerseys that were worn by the players in the scrimmage. After the jersey give away, a fireworks show lights up the night sky.
