Superdome Seating Capacity

The Louisiana Superdome is a multi-use stadium located in New Orleans, Louisiana. The stadium is known as the home of the New Orleans Saints football team, but the stadium also holds basketball games, music festivals, motocross and other events there.

    • The Superdome's seating capacity varies according to the seating arrangements made to accommodate the needs of each event type. For example, the expanded seating configuration used during the Super Bowl is employed to accommodate the greatest number of people in the Superdome at one time. The seating configuration used for a basketball game at the Superdome has a much lower seating capacity.

    Seating Capacity

    • During a regular football game, the Superdome's seating capacity is a total of 69,703 people. For an expanded football game, the Superdome's seating capacity increases to a maximum of 72,003 people.

    Luxury Seating

    • In addition to stadium seating, the Superdome offers a total of 153 luxury box suites as of the 2010 football season.
