Instructions

    • 1

Travel in an SUV or large car if possible so you can easily carry all of the items you need for your tailgate.

    • 2

Bring the following items along with you: Barbecue set with charcoal, a foldable table, foldable chairs (enough for everyone that is coming), the food that you want to cook and a football to throw around.

    • 3

Bring money for parking and for food if you do not want to bring your own food. There are a number of vendors located in Lot H for you to choose from.

    • 4

Arrive at the Rose Bowl early (four to five hours before game time). If you can, you want to park in Lot H because this is where all the activities are located including free give aways from radio stations and restaurants.

    • 5

Bring warm clothes. An afternoon game can start off warm but can quickly become a cold night at the Rose Bowl.

    • 6

Wear shoes you don't mind getting messy. The parking lot is actually on a gold course that has the tendency to become muddy after the grass has been watered. This will cause mud to get on your shoes.

    • 7

Plan on not leaving once you have parked. The parking is "stacked parking" at the Rose Bowl so you will not be able to leave until your event is over (unless you park in Lot H where some pathways for driving do exist). Plan ahead for this situation.
