Instructions

    • 1

Sketch out your title belt. Study pictures of your favorite title belt and note their designs. Incorporate elements of the belts you like in your own belt. Start at the sides and build toward the middle. Remember, there is nothing too gaudy for a title belt.

Transfer your design to a piece of cardboard. Cut out the cardboard. Cut a vertical notch on each side of the cardboard for your regular belt to slip through.

    • 3

Paint the cardboard. Use gold paint, whether with a brush or a spray can, and cover all the area of the cardboard. Apply two coats if the first coat, upon drying, isn't covering the cardboard.

    • 4

Glue the sequins and any other decorations you want on your belt. Pay special attention to the border of the belt. Applying a different color border of sequins will help draw the eye to the center section of the belt, where the gold will be on full display.

Spray a coat of varnish over the cardboard section of your belt. This will help the color last, and will help keep any decorations you've applied firmly in place.
