Instructions

    • 1

Study past steel cage matches. There have been several, and people have used different strategies to win them. Hulk Hogan actually used King Kong Bundy to climb out of the steel cage at Wrestlemania 2.

    • 2

Learn the best escape routes. It is not utilized much, but wrestlers can actually win the match by going through the door. Find a way to escape through the door and win the match.

    • 3

Use the cage as a weapon. The steel cage is made to hold wrestlers inside, but by using the cage as a weapon, you can inflict more damage on your opponent.

    • 4

Smash your opponent's head into the side of the cage. This will cause instant head trauma and usually bleeding as well.

    • 5

Jump off of the top of the cage. High impact moves like a Swanton Bomb or an elbow drop will be executed with much more damage if they are performed from the top of the steel cage.

    • 6

Bring out another wrestler or a manger to help you. Steel cage matches are no disqualification so they can slam the steel door in your opponent's face, distract them or do anything else to help you get the victory.

    • 7

Have the wrestler or friend hide under the ring. There have been a couple of sneak attacks inside of the steel cage where wrestlers actually crawled through the ring, so this will make more of an impact and give you an opportunity to win.

    • 8

Race your opponent. If you are facing a larger opponent, they will naturally climb slower, so if you see them attempting an escape, race them on another side of the ring and see who can escape first.

    • 9

If your opponent is climbing up to the top, wait until he has gone a little bit higher until you pull hin down because then his impact will be much bigger and create more time for you to escape.
