Instructions

    • 1

Add the solid piece of amber resin and the ethyl rubbing alcohol to one of the glass mixing dishes. Both of these materials are obtainable via craft and hobby supply retailers and wholesalers.

    • 2

Chop at the solid resin piece in the alcohol with a disposable stirring wand. The solid amber resin should begin to dissolve in the alcohol to create a deep amber-brown solution. Once it is fully dissolved, the color of the resulting sap will be a dark, amber hue. The consistency will be runny, but sticky; like watered-down honey.

    • 3

Create a blend totaling 1/4 tsp. essential oil. Ideas for blends that smell good with amber resin include sandalwood, vanilla, rose and many others. Experiment with a wide array to create your own signature blend.

    • 4

Add the blend of essential oils to the bowl containing the amber resin solution. Stir thoroughly with a disposable wand.

    • 5

Squeeze the bulbous end of a plastic pipette to suck up the amber resin perfume, squirt the fragrance into a bottle or container of your choice.
