Angola Rodeo
-
The Angola Rodeo is the longest-running prison rodeo in the United States and features several bull riding events. It started in 1965 in a small, standing-room-only arena built by the inmates. As the event gained popularity, the arena was expanded. A new stadium was built in 2000 that seats 7,500 fans. Rodeo spectators pack the arena for one weekend every spring and five weekends every fall.
