How to Buy New York Yankees Tickets

The New York Yankees are arguably the most well-known sports franchise on the planet. But with the new Yankee Stadium housing fewer fans than the previous ballpark, watching the Yanks play live and in person is harder than ever. Don't let the fact that a game is sold out stop you from going out to the Bronx. Knowing where to find tickets is the first step to being on the 4 Train and on your way to the ballpark.

      Call the New York Yankees ticket office on game day, at (718) 293-4300. Many times, the Yankees will release extra bleacher or standing-room-only tickets an hour or so before first pitch. Normally, this happens for weekday afternoon games, games with playoff implications or a series against the Boston Red Sox.

      Look for Yankees tickets on Stub Hub. Stub Hub is the official fan to fan marketplace of Major League Baseball. Tickets for every regular season and playoff game can be found on the website (see Resources below).

      Log onto the New York Craigslist website. Once on the homepage, select the “tickets” link found in the “for sale” section. Once there, you will have to scroll through the available listings until you find the tickets you want. Craigslist allows you to contact the seller directly without going through a third-party website (see Resources below).

      Use eBay to find New York Yankees tickets. Just like Stub Hub and Craigslist, eBay is full of people looking to unload their tickets. If you're searching for a large group of tickets for a single game (more than 4 tickets), you may have more luck on eBay than on any other website (see Resources below).

      Locate scalpers outside of Yankee Stadium. You will run into groups of scalpers along the subway route right outside of the stadium. Another good place to find scalpers is in front of Stan's Sports Bar (across the street from the stadium).
