How to Join the Tartan Army
-
1
Find your local chapter. If you frequent Scotland matches, you will likely be able to find your local group just by asking around. If not, hit the web. Tartan Army websites usually have lists of links to various chapters. See the bottom of this article for links to good resources.

2
Complete the membership form. Although the applications vary from place to place, most will ask for your name, email address, mailing address and phone number. You may also be asked questions about any past arrests for violence/public disruption at football events. The Tartan Army values its good reputation abroad and seeks to weed out the so-called "football hooligans" from their ranks.

3
Mail your membership form with payment. Most local Tartan Army chapters have membership dues, usually in the form of a joining fee and a small monthly fee. The money typically goes toward paying for events and supporting the club's website. In exchange for your dues, you will periodically get free t-shirts, deals on tickets and fan memorabilia.

Wait for confirmation. When your application is accepted, you will receive membership materials from your local chapter letting you know all about the group and its activities. You may also receive a membership card, depending on the practices of your local group.
