1
Select a frame for your jersey. Consider factors such as how you want the jersey to be displayed, the size of the jersey and the depth of the frame.
-
2
Lay out the jersey on a clean work surface. Determine how you want it displayed, front or back, how you want the sleeves, if any, folded and so on.
-
3
Cut out the mat to the dimensions of the inside of the jersey as you want it displayed using the scissors. Punch two holes with the push pin into the top left side of the mat between the neck hole and the shoulders, spacing the holes approximately an inch apart. Repeat for the top right side of the mat.
-
4
Slide the mat into the jersey. Thread the needle. Insert it through the back of the jersey and into one of the holes you made in the mat board, over the outside of the jersey, then through the second hole and out the back. Tie off the end of the thread and repeat the process on the other side of the mat board until the jersey and mat board are one.

5
Fold over the sleeves of the jersey against the body of the jersey if that's the shape you're looking for, and secure the sleeves to the chest area of the jersey with the double-sided tape. Open up the frame and set the jersey against the glass. Reinstall the back onto the frame and turn it over to make sure the jersey is situated as you like it.
