How to Align the Arrows on a Bow
Archery requires precision. This includes getting the arrow aligned onto the bow. The alignment is a two-step process. The first step is getting the proper length arrow, and the second is aligning the arrow to the bow string. When the arrow is properly aligned, it lends itself to more accurate shots. Have a friend assist in determining your arrow length as it requires a measurement be taken.

1
Stand straight and hold your arms in front of you. Keep your fingers extended and bring your two palms together directly in front of your torso.
-
2
Assign your friend to take the measurement from the tips of your fingers to your torso. Add one inch to this measurement. This is your best arrow length.
-
3
Take one arrow of your measured length and stand in your firing stance at the archery range. Align the arrow so the nock is between the string markings. The arrow markings are slight colored sections in the center of the string.
-
4
Nock the arrow between the two colored marks on the bow string. Take practice shots at the target to become familiar with the arrow length and alignment.
