Limbsaver String Leech Installation

The LimbSaver String Leech is a series of hard rubber pieces that are placed in the bowstring. The leech, as the name suggest, absorbs the energy from the string to prevent vibration. The result of the vibration sucking is a dampening of the bowstring, which allows smoother releases of the bowstring with less chance of injury to the fingers and arm. The string leech goes on quickly and may be done in a home workshop.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the bow down on the workbench and use the string separator to split the bowstrings individual strands in half. Keep the strands sectioned approximately halfway.

    • 2

Insert the string leech pieces down toward the ends of the string, near the bow limbs. Keep them equal distances from the limb ends. Use one or two string leeches to start. Remove the string separator once the leeches are in place.

    • 3

Add additional leech pieces if you are not getting the dampening effect you desire.
