Slide the string nock onto the bow string and place it in the desired position. String nocks are small metal rings crimped onto the bow string to make for faster, more accurate placement or "nocking" of the arrow on the bow string. Adjust nock point positioning for optimal arrow flight; a good starting point is with the arrow 90 degrees to the bow string, 1/8 inch below the top of the nock.

Close the end of a Tru-Fire Hunter Universal Crimping Tool over the string nock and apply pressure until the nock is securely in place.

Release the Tru-Fire Hunter Universal Crimping Tool by pulling the release lever located near the top of the tool.
