Specs for a Hoyt Compound Bow

For nearly 80 years Hoyt has produced archery products. Today the company makes a wide range of compound bows. The specifications for Hoyt compound bows vary based on the specific bow model, but like most manufacturers, Hoyt rates its bows based on the International Bowhunters Organization (IBO) standards. Manufacturers that use the IBO rating must test their bows under standardized conditions in order to include the data in the bow’s specifications.

    • The Hoyt Carbon Matrix compound bow features an IBO speed of 318 feet per second (fps). The axle-to-axle length measures 35 inches and the Carbon Matrix has a mass weight of 3.8 lbs. The draw on the Maxxis 31 ranges from 26 inches to 30 inches. The Maxxis 31 has a weight range of 40 to 90 lbs. making it ideally suited for use by medium-framed women to large-framed men. The Vicxen measures 33 inches from axle-to-axle and the mass weight comes in at 4.1 lbs. The Vicxen’s draw range measures 23 to 29 inches and it has a weight range of 20 to 70 lbs. This bow has Hoyt’s Cam & ½ Plus Cam technology. The brace height on the Vicxen measures 6 ¾ inches and it comes available in Realtree, Black Out, Half and Half, Fusion, Red Fusion, orange, cobalt blue, jet black and pearl white.
