Camping at Charlotte Motor Speedway

Charlotte Motor Speedway (also known as Lowe's Motor Speedway) is at the corner of Morehead Parkway and Concord Parkway South, 17 miles southwest of Concord, North Carolina. The venue hosts 140,000 grandstand and in-field guests per event.

  1. Camping Rules

    • Lowe's Motor Speedway is oriented to create a family experience. Therefore, the venue management enforces all rules and policies aggressively. All personally owned vehicles must display current state license plates. No personally owned golf carts or other non-licensed vehicles are allowed on the property. A speed limit of 5 mph is stringently enforced throughout the property. Responsible drinking is required, and no drinking is allowed in various family campground areas. Any alcohol abuse results in permanent expulsion from the property.

    Standard Camping

    • There are several camping areas around the property for customers who do not want to stay inside the venue. RV, pop-up and tent slots are available. These areas, however, do not offer hookups.

    In-field Camping

    • Camping is also available inside the venue on the infield. RV, pop-up and tent slots are available without hook-ups.

      North Infield Fenceline, $175 (Turns 3 and 4)
      North Infield, $150 (Turns 3 and 4)
      South Infield Fenceline, $100 (Turns 1 and 2)
      South Infield, $75 (Turns 1 and 2)

      Infield admission prices are $100 for adults and $15 for children 12 and younger.

    Tom Johnson Camping Center

    • The Tom Johnson Camping Center across from the straightaway area at the Lowe's Motor Speedway is a resort camping property. The TJCC offers 430 slots for RV, pop-up and tenting. The resort offers complete hook-ups. Prices vary depending on the size of the event.
