How to Make the Grip Smaller on a Li-Ning Racket
Li-Ning is a company that specializes in badminton equipment and apparel. Their rackets are divided into five categories: multi control, extra skill, pro master, mega power, and ultra sharp. As with all sports equipment, you want the racket to fit you well. While some regard grip size on badminton rackets as unimportant, others may want their racket grips to be certain sizes. Li-Ning's different models are not uniform in grip size. If you just purchased your Li-Ning and want a smaller grip, then you can simply return it and purchase the size you want. You can always add grip tape to make the grip bigger, but making the grip smaller is a little more involved.
Things You'll Need
- Utility knife
- Grip tape that is thinner than current grip tape on racket
Instructions
-
-
1
Cut the grip along the length of your Li-Ning racket handle. You can do this with a utility knife. There is no need to push too deep.
-
2
Remove the grip tape from your Li-Ning racket.
-
3
Hold the racket with the handle up toward you.
-
4
Peel off the back of the grip tape about 12 inches and begin wrapping it from the end of the racket. The sticky side goes on the racket.
-
5
Overlap the tape as little as possible, as overlap results in greater thickness.
-
6
Peel the back of the grip tape as needed, and continue wrapping until you have wrapped the racket handle. Cut off unwanted tape.
