Athletic Supporter Instructions
An athletic supporter provides added protection to the male organs to prevent injuries such as strains or hernias. Many athletes do not feel the need to wear an athletic supporter. However, if you do choose to wear one it should properly fit. The process of choosing and wearing the right athletic supporter can be embarrassing at times, but following a few steps can help you find and wear an athletic supporter properly.

1
Measure your waist size to determine what size of supporter you will need. Note that supporter sizes are simply the measure of the waist band and not the pouch size. Even though pouch sizes increase as the waist band does, the two do not correspond.
-
2
Try on the jockstrap to test the fitting. Go up a size if it is too snug, but make sure to adjust the waistband if the fit is not ideal. An athletic supporter should fit more snugly than your daily underwear.
-
3
Get a feel for the leg straps. The proper fit should prevent any rolling of the straps. Continue testing out sizes until you have achieved a good fit. The athletic supporter should feel snug, but not uncomfortable.
