How to Raise Huffy Handlebars
Adjusting your bike's handlebars to a comfortable height is essential for your safety and enjoyment while riding. The Huffy Corporation has been around for more than 100 years, and whether it's a BMX or a mountain bike, their bikes have always been manufactured with a threaded handlebar system. A single bolt secures the handlebars inside the bike's stem. This bolt can be loosened easily so you can raise your Huffy handlebars.

1
Straddle your bicycle and secure the front tire between your feet. You want to limit movement of the front tire as much as possible.
-
2
Place a wrench that fits the bolt at the top of the stem and turn it counterclockwise to loosen it. Don't remove it completely.
-
3
Pull your handlebars up toward you to raise them. You may have to simultaneously turn the handlebars back and forth while pulling up to raise them.
-
4
Align your handlebars with your front tire once you have raised them to your desired height and tighten the bolt. Make sure to keep the tire and handlebars straight while you're tightening the bolt, or you will have crooked handlebars.
