Rhode Gear Super Cycle Shuttle Mounting Instructions

The Rhode Gear SuperShuttle bicycle rack is a trunk-mounted rack that allows up to three bikes to be transported on a vehicle. Benefits of this style of rack include ease of attachment, easy take-down when not in use (handy for preventing theft) and inexpensive retail costs compared to roof racks. The SuperShuttle rack is made to go on in under 10 minutes with no tools required.

      Turn the side knobs on the SuperShuttle rack counterclockwise to loosen the rack. Open the rack arms so they form an obtuse angle to the auto trunk.

      Place the rack onto the trunk so the bicycle cradles are facing upward. Stretch the nylon straps up to the lip of the trunk near the rear window and place the rubberized hooks into this gap.

      Place the two strap hooks on the bottom of the rack under the auto's bumper and tighten them by pulling up and out from the vehicle. Turn the side knobs clockwise to lock them into position.

      Tighten the top straps by pulling down and out. Push the rack to ensure it is snug and tight against the trunk. Make sure the rack bars that are touching the trunk are doing so via the rubber gaskets on the bars, thus preventing any scratches on the auto surface.
