Instructions

    • 1

Find a milk crate. Sometimes a dairy or grocery store will give or sell one to you. Many container and discount stores also sell storage versions of milk crates. Any container of similar size will work as long as it has holes or slats to accommodate the bungee cord.

    • 2

Set your crate on the back rack of your bicycle. A back rack is essential to give the crate something to rest on.

    • 3

Feed the bungee cord hooks through the inside of the crate so the cord is stretched across the edge of the crate along the back end of the rack. Feed the pointed ends of the hooks through first and the rest will follow. Pull the ends of the bungee cord so that they are even.

Cross the bungee cord over the bottom of the bike rack making an X and pull the ends to the opposite end of the crate. Feed the hooks back through to the inside of the crate and hook them together.
