The Super Le Tour frame can be found in four different sizes, each designated by a different model name. The 9SL is 19 inches, the 1SL is 21 inches, the 3SL is 23 inches and the 5SL is 25 inches. Available colors included full chrome, scarlet, black and silver mist. All frame sizes retailed for an MSRP of $264.95, with the exception of the full chrome edition which was $50 extra. The bike weighs in at 26.5 pounds.
Frame, Wheels and Handlebar

Double-butted chrome-moly top and down tubes make up the bicycle's frame. It has a tubular front fork which is chrome-plated 6 inches up from the fork ends. Rims are 27 inch x 1 1/4 inch aluminum alloy, and the wheels feature exclusive Schwinn-Approved large flange quick release hubs. Tires are high pressure Schwinn Super Record 27 x1 1/8 inches. The handlebar is has road-style drops and is made from aluminum alloy.
Crankset, Derailleur and Gears

The crankset consists of Schwinn-Approved aluminum alloy cotterless cranks. Front derailleur is a Shimano 60 while the rear is a Shimano 600. The bicycle's gearing is suited for touring on any terrain. Two front chainrings have 39 and 52 teeth. The rear freewheel has five cogs: 14, 17, 20, 24 and 28 teeth. Stem is crafted from forged aluminum alloy and has a recessed tightening bolt.
Brakes, Pedals and Saddle

The Le Tour's brakes are Compe-G side pulls. Pedals are rattrap-style (metal-toothed edges for grip) with included toe clips and tightening straps. The sides of the pedals include reflectors for safety while riding at night. The saddle is a vinyl racing seat with an aluminum alloy seat post.
