Set the bowling ball in the sun for an hour, then wipe the oil free before turning and allowing the other side of the ball to sit in the sun. Continue allowing the excess oil to come to the surface of the ball with the sunlight for a few hours, turning it once an hour to expose soiled areas.

    • 2

Apply the dulling bowling ball cleaner. The dulling cleaner will remove excess oils so that the ball does not stick to the lane. Work the cleaner into the ball so it can penetrate the oils effectively.

    • 3

Wipe the excess cleaner away with a clean rag. Wipe in a circular motion until the bowling ball is completely free of the cleaner.

    • 4

Feel the ball for any sticky or slippery spots. If there are sticky or slippery spots, repeat the use of the dulling cleaner and wipe it away until the ball feels smooth.
