How to Design Bowling Shirts

1
Set your price. Before trying to come up with a design for your team's bowling shirts, set a price and stick to it. Look in the phone book for local screen-printing companies and ask them what type of design they can do within your price limit. Be considerate of your team members and how much they can afford to pay.

2
Decide on your fabric. Polyester is still one of the most popular fabrics for bowling shirts, but some people find that cotton is more comfortable. Take a vote with your team to decide on a fabric.
-
3
Figure out other teams' colors. You don't want to have shirts with exactly the same color scheme as a neighboring team. Go to a league night before you choose your colors and see what colors other teams are already wearing. Come up with a color combination that will make your team stand out.
-
4
Create a team logo. Make a design that goes with your team name or uses a bowling theme. Unless you are an artist, you should try to keep it simple. Remember, colored designs are usually more expensive to print than black ink.
-
5
Don't forget to leave space for the name. You may have an incredible idea for an all-over shirt design, but most bowling shirts have a patch with the players name over the left or right chest area. Try to design around the place where the patch will be.

6
Keep a copy of your design. Chances are your bowling team won't stay together forever. You will need to be able to have shirts made for new members in the future. So, make sure you save a copy of your shirt design so that it can be easily printed later on.
