How to Determine Size for Double End Boxing Bags

1
Choose a size that fits your ability level. The smaller the double end bag, the more challenging and strenuous your workout will be. If you're a beginner, start with a larger bag and work your way toward smaller bags as you progress. Larger bags are slower and easier to target compared to the smaller bags. Double end bags range from 5 inches to 18 inches in diameter.

Practice on a double end bag with the appropriate height level. Many bags come with adjustable bands so that you can adjust the suspension depending on your height. The bag should be suspended at your chin level to simulate another fighter of about the same height.

Consider the different styles and shapes of bags that satisfy your training needs. If you want to practice targeting more than just the head of your opponent, opt for the Mexican style double end bag. Instead of the standard ball shape, the Mexican style is larger and is shaped more like a peanut, allowing you to practice delivering head shots and body blows.
