Instructions

1
Locate the place where you wish to mount the helmet. You may wish to hold up the entire case and get a sense of how it will look in that location.
-
2
Place a stud finder flush to the wall. Turn on the stud finder to determine if you're drilling into a stud. The stud finder beeps rapidly or lights up if you are over a stud. If so, you don't need to use dry wall anchors in that location. However, you'll need dry wall anchors for other parts of the mounting not over studs.
-
3
Hold the wall mounting bracket flat against the wall.
-
4
Rest a level on the wall mounting bracket to make sure it is level.
-
5
Mark the wall through the holes in the wall mounting bracket using your pencil. Set down the wall mounting bracket momentarily.
-
6
Drill holes where you marked the wall with your pencil using your drill. The instructions will specify the size bit to use such as 1/8 or 1/4 inch. Repeat for each pencil mark you made.
-
7
Insert the dry wall anchors until they are flush with the wall. Skip this step for locations over a stud.
-
8
Change the end of the drill to a Phillip's head or flat-head screw driver by loosening the drill chuck, removing the drill bit, inserting the screwdriver tip and tightening the chuck.
-
9
Hold the wall mounting bracket back in place over the holes and dry wall anchors you made or inserted into the wall.
-
10
Screw the wall mounting bracket to the wall using your drill and provided screws.
-
11
Rest the football helmet on top of the wall mounting bracket.
-
12
Screw the wall mounting bracket into the mounting case. Depending on the unit, there are several screws that secure mounting bracket to the case. Insert each screw and turn to the right until tight.
