How to Tell If You Are Making a Full Shoulder Turn
Golf is a difficult sport to master, and one of its most difficult aspects is correctly making a full shoulder turn when driving the ball, which is essential for getting the most power out of your swing. A full shoulder turn requires a lot of flexibility and strength, and sometimes it's hard to tell whether you're doing it right. However, by devoting a little time to mastering your shot, you can figure out whether you've developed some bad swinging habits.

1
Perform your swing while standing in front of a mirror, or set up a video camera to record yourself.
-
2
Watch your swing to see that your shoulders turn 90 degrees, from facing toward the tee until your back is facing the target.
-
3
Notice where your shoulders are in relation to your chin. The shoulders should remain lower than the chin at all times.
-
4
Be aware of the movement of your hips. They shouldn't move more than your shoulders. Generally, the hips should move only about 40 degrees.
