1
Locate the hosel joint of the club. It is the small metal joint linking the shaft to the club head.
-
2
Place the mouth of the Nike wrench around the outer sleeve of the hosel joint and begin twisting counterclockwise. This will loosen the bond between shaft and head and allow you to alter the loft, lie and face angles of the club head.
-
3
Alter the specifications of the club head manually. An open-face angle will promote a fade while a closed one will create a drawing effect. Taller golfers should employ a more upright lie angle, while shorter golfers will need a flatter one. Golfers with a weaker swing should make the club head more lofted, because force and loft dictate the elevation of the ball.
-
4
Place the mouth of the Nike wrench around the outer sleeve of the hosel joint once you've made all your alterations to the club head and twist clockwise. This will tighten the bond between the club head and the sleeve as well as secure your alterations.
-
5
Fasten until the wrench beeps and blinks to indicate the hosel is as tight as possible.
