What Is the Difference Between the Callaway Hyper X & the Callaway Hyper X Tour
-
Loft and Lie
-
Both Callaway Hyper X drivers have a lie of 56 degrees. The regular Hyper X is available in 9, 10 and 11 degree loft models. The 9 degree model is only available for right-handed golfers. The Hyper X Tour comes in 8.5, 9.5 and 10.5 degree loft models. Only right-handers can use the 8.5 and 10.5 degree models. Both of these drivers are 45.5 inches long and have a swing weight rated at D5 on Callaway's website.
Shafts
-
The Hyper X has a Callaway Golf Fit-On X shaft made by Fujikura. The shaft is made in light, regular and stiff versions for a varying degree of flex when you hit the ball. The more stiff the shaft, the less flexibility you will feel as you drive through your shot. The Hyper X Tour driver has a Fujikura Fit-On E-360 shaft that comes with regular or stiff flexibility.
Head and Face
-
Both Hyper X drivers have heads and faces made entirely of titanium. The heads are 460 cc in size. The Hyper X face is designed to have a one degree closed angle, while the Hyper X Tour face has a squared up angle. The same markings are present on the faces of both Hyper X drivers.
