Nike CPR Specs

Among the many products made by the sports and clothing manufacturer Nike, golfing equipment and apparel are included in its inventory. The CPR (short for Club for Prevention and Recovery) series of hybrid clubs debuted in 2006 and has since been discontinued. Hybrids combine properties of both wood and iron clubs, and are often marketed to less experienced or less physically strong players, with their versatility and ease of handling.
  1. Shaft

    • The shaft comes in both light-weight graphite or steel and has standard flexes. The advantage of graphite is that it is lighter and easier to swing and control, especially for less experienced players.

    Function

    • The Nike CPR is designed, as its full name implies, as a rescue and utility club. It is effective in returning to the fairway a ball that has fallen into the rough. Its range is roughly equivalent to that of long-irons and mid-irons.

    Design

    • The club has a soft tip profile and a scoop-back design which shifts the center of gravity to a lower point than conventional long irons. A lower center of gravity makes it easier to send the ball airborne, increasing distance and power of strokes.

    Loft and Length

    • The Nike CPR has lofts of 18, 21, and 24 degrees and lengths of 41, 40.75, and 40.25 inches, respectively. It is available in both right- and left-handed versions.
