Nike IC Putter Specs

Nike Golf is one of the leading equipment manufacturers on the PGA Tour, and their products are used by Tiger Woods, as of January 2011. Nike produces several lines of woods, irons, wedges, putters and balls for both advanced and beginning players. The Nike IC putter comes in several variations, each with unique putter-head characteristics.
  1. Technology

    • The Nike IC MOI putters were designed with a high moment of inertia to increase the stability of the club head during the putting stroke. Each Nike IC MOI putter contains a milled face, which is believed to increase the putter's consistency in feel. The putter was designed with just one color to eliminate optical distractions, and the alignment aid on the putter face helps you focus on the correct location while putting, according to the Nike Golf website.

    Models

    • Nike's IC MOI putters come in seven variations, with unique club head designs. The IC-20-10 and IC 20-10A are more classic blade-style designs, while the IC-20-20 and IC-20-20A have the game-improvement features of a large mallet-style putter. The IC-20-15, IC-20-15A and IC-20-10B feature small- to mid-mallet designs. Mallets are oversized putters with several alignment aids to help beginning players hit truer putts. Blade putters are smaller and less forgiving, but are often preferred by more advanced players.

    Length

    • The standard length for a putter is about 35 inches, according to PurelyGolf.com, although there is a large degree of individual preference. Belly putters can reach lengths of 46 inches. Nike IC MOI putters vary between 33 and 35 inches, while the IC-20-20A can be purchased with a 43-inch shaft. The optimal length for a putter is determined by both your height and putting style. A more upright putting stance requires a longer putter shaft.

    Grip Specifications

    • All Nike IC MOI putters contain an IC putter grip, designed by Winn Golf. This grip uses "advanced integration technology" to create an optimal level of thickness throughout the grip, as well as enhanced feel. The grip also features materials that create a sense of traction between the hands and the putter.
