Instructions For a Taylor Made R7 Superquad

The TaylorMade r7 Superquad driver club for golfers first appeared in 2008. More options are now on the market for all levels of players to adjust their drivers for the best chance of hitting straighter shots. Since 2008, TaylorMade has revised the r7 Superquad and now offers later models with movable weights on the head as well as options to change the shaft. If you own an r7 Superquad but don't have the instructions on how to set the driver weights, follow these weight-reset guidelines to correct your swing tendencies and hit into the fairways on your next round of golf.

Instructions

    • 1

Use the TaylorMade wrench that came with your driver to unscrew the weights you want to adjust. The neutral setting --- the factory setting for the r7 Superquad --- is two heavy weights on the face where the club hits the ball, and two lighter weights positioned opposite the club face. For a right-handed golfer, the face of the club will be the left side as you are looking down at the club while holding the grip.

    • 2

Move the two heaviest weights to the heel side --- located at the base of the shaft --- and position two light weights on the toe to promote a strong draw or right-to-left path for a right-handed golfer.

    • 3

Insert one heavy weight in the lowest portion of the heel, one lighter weight in the middle heel position, one heavier weight in the lower toe position, and one light weight in the top toe position to promote a slight draw.

    • 4

Move the two heaviest weights to the toe side with two light weights on the heel to promote a strong fade, or left-to-right path for a right-handed golfer.

    • 5

Insert one light weight in the lowest portion of the heel, one heavier weight in the middle heel position, one lighter weight in the lower toe position, and one heavy weight in the top toe position to promote a slight fade.

    • 6

Move the two heaviest weights to back of the club with two light weights on the front of the club to encourage high drives.

    • 7

Insert the two lightest weights in the back of the club and two heavy weights on the front of the club to encourage lower drives.
