How to Use Softee Sticks

Softee Sticks is the brand name for a line of children's hockey sticks. Intended for children ages 5 to 10, the sticks have soft urethane foam heads and hollow plastic handles to ensure safe play. The sticks are 36 inches long to accommodate shorter arms and bodies. Children can use Softee Sticks indoors and out to play any traditional or modified hockey game.

      Hold the Softee Stick at an angle so the bottom of the head is parallel to the ground. Grip the black part of the handle in your non-dominant hand with your thumb facing down. In your dominant hand, grip the colored part of the handle with your thumb facing down right under the black part of the handle.

      Play hockey on an indoor gymnasium or any ice rink with a 4-inch diameter foam puck.

      Play hockey outside on the grass with a 6-inch diameter foam ball.
