How to Customize Goalie Gloves
Instructions

-
1
Decide which brand name gloves you desire: Reebok, Bauer, Vaughn, TPS and Sherwood are all NHL-recognized brands worn by the pros. Smaller companies, including Brian’s, Smith, Battram and Simmons, offer similar products, often at a more affordable price.
-
2
Log on to the website of the company of your choice. Click on the “Custom” or “Goalie Gear Customizer” tab featured on many company's websites; browse the available model sets for what appeals to you.
-
3
Select the model of blocker and the model of catch glove that matches your level of play as well as your budget. Generally speaking, only pro-level and semi-pro model gloves offer customization, and many companies allow customization at no additional charge.
-
4
Select “Catch Glove” or “Blocker” to begin the customization process. Once the template loads, select the primary color from the color swatch that you wish your glove to be. Select your secondary color, which generally is the primary color of the glove’s graphic. Select any optional build materials (robo-weave, for instance).
-
5
Select your third color, which accents the graphic. Select your fourth color, the trim (or outline) of the glove. Select the color you wish the lace to be: this will be the catcher’s mesh color or additional trim on the blocker glove.
-
6
Print the finished template before customizing the remaining glove to complete the set. Fill out any pertinent information, such as name, address, size and glove orientation (regular or full-right). Take or send the printed template (some companies may allow emailed templates) to an authorized pro shop or online dealer for price quotes.
