1
Tie a figure 8 knot on one end of the lace. Pull the other end thorough the first sidewall hole until the knot is stopped by the sidewall.
-
2
Position the mesh backing onto the STX head, wide end at the top sidewall. Pull the lace through the first top diamond on the mesh backing. Bring the lace back over the sidewall rail and insert it through the second sidewall hole. Bring the lace through the first top mesh diamond for a second time from underneath.
-
3
Push the lace in through the second mesh hole, bringing the lace underneath the scoop. Pull the lace though the first large scoop hole. Draw the lace out from the scoop hole. Bring it back under the previous segment of lace and pull tight. Hold your thumb over this portion to make sure that the lace remains as tight as possible during the stringing process.
-
4
Bring the lace over the back of the mesh. Push the lace through the fourth mesh hole. Bring the lace under the scoop and pull it through the second scoop hole and pull tight. Pull the lace out from the scoop hole. Bring it under the previous segment of lace. Ensure that the lace is as tight as possible. Continue this way until you reach the last mesh hole on the STX Super Power head.
-
5
Push the lace through the last mesh hole and then back through the first side-wall hole. Tie a knot at the end. The top-string is now complete.
-
6
Tie a figure-8 knot at the end of the second lace. Push the lace through the second side-wall hole and then back up though the first mesh hole. Bring the lace up over the side-wall and back through the second side-wall hole and then back up through the first mesh hole.
-
7
Use the remaining lace as added reinforcement by performing steps 1 through 5 starting from the left side of the lacrosse head.
-
8
String the both sides of the mesh to the lacrosse head using the same process as steps 1 through 5.
-
9
Insert a bottom lace through the first hole on the bottom of the head. Draw the lace up through the second mesh hole. Weave the lace through the rest of the holes until you reach the last mesh hole. Push the lace down through the bottom hole and tie it off securely.
-
10
Push the shooting string though an empty sidewall hole or around a side-wall lace, whichever you prefer. Weave the shooting string across the head through each diamond hole. Wrap the shooter string around the cross-lace or through a sidewall hole then tie it off on both sides securely. Leave a 1 or 2 inch space down from the first shooting string. Repeat step 10 for the second shooting string.
