How to Buy a Racquetball Raquet

1
Consult your local racquetball dealer. They will be able to advise you on the best racquet for your physical build and ability level. Search online for a store in your area, for example using the search phrase "racquetball store+your suburb". Or ask fellow players if they can recommend a store with a good range of merchandise and knowledgeable staff.

2
Check the weight, head size, and grip of the racquets. As a general rule, heavier racquets with larger heads are ideal for beginners. In terms of grip size, look for as small a grip as possible; you can always increase the grip size later by adding grip tape.

3
Try out as many racquets as you need to find the right one. Each racquet is different, and each person is different, so it may take a few attempts before you find a racquet that feels comfortable. Rent a few racquets so that you can go and test them out on the courts. Many larger racquetball stores have racquets available to rent, or you can try RacquetWorld's Demo Program. The program includes rental of two racquets for one week, including delivery, for just $25.

4
Shop around to find the best price once you have decided on your racquet of choice. Try online stores; often they have the best prices as they can eliminate the overheads associated with a physical store.
