1
Choose a stringing machine that fits your budget. Good stringing machines cost $500 to $1,000. The more expensive the machine, the better quality string job you will get. Read the instructions to become familiar with how to use the machine.
-
2
Using clippers, cut out the old strings. Take note of the string pattern as every racquetball racquet has a different pattern. You can also contact the racquet manufacturer for the correct pattern.
-
3
Select your string. If you break strings often, use a 16-gauge string; otherwise, a 17-gauge string will do and will give you more bite on the ball.
-
4
Properly mount the racquet on the machine, use the correct stringing pattern, use the correct tension and string to completion.
-
5
If you choose not to do this yourself, locate a certified stringer through the United States Racquet Stringers Association (USRSA) website.
