Although fluorocarbons are said to provide better glide and water repellency than hydrocarbons, they are extremely pricey. The Ski Go HF Violet encompasses a range of minus 2 to minus 15 degrees Celsius. This Swedish brand manufactures a wax that is useful in variable snow surfaces. With its high ratio of fluorocarbons, this hydrophobic wax excels in high humidity. It may be higher priced, but Ski Go's performance on snow is incomparable.
