How to Adjust Marker Rail Ski Bindings

Marker Rail bindings are made for skiers who like to frequent the terrain park, half-pipe and free-ride areas of the ski hill. Marker made the Rail to use a DIN adjustment on the toe piece and off the heel. Tis combined adjustment gives added security when adjusting and setting the bindings, making them solid performers for the stunt skiing found in the park and pipe. Adjust the Rails using a DIN chart and a screwdriver.

Instructions

    • 1

Step onto the scale with all of your ski clothing and bots on. Make a note of the weight.

    • 2

Place the skis, with the bindings facing up, on a flat work surface. Consult the Marker DIN chart to get the recommended settings based on your weight, skiing ability and terrain (see Resources).

    • 3

Turn the toe DIN screw, found at the front of the toe piece portion of the binding to the right to raise the DIN number or to the left to lower the DIN number. Find the DIN gauge above the screw. It is a small red line that points to the DIN number. Adjust to the Marker DIN chart recommended setting. Do this for both skis.

    • 4

Turn the heel piece DIN screw to adjust to the DIN chart recommendation. Again, turn to the left to lower the DIN or to the right to raise the DIN.

    • 5

Pop your ski boots into the bindings and lock them down. Push your heel to the left or right to pop them out of the bindings and test the adjustment. Take a run down a mellow slope to test the adjustment before heading out onto difficult terrain.
