How to Adjust Attiva Marker Bindings

The Marker Attiva ski binding is part of Marker's freeride series of alpine bindings. The Attivas have been replaced with the current 10.0 Free, but the adjustments for these bindings remain the same. Marker designed these bindings for the park and pipe skiers. They have a DIN range of 3 through 10, and are recommended for skiers between 65 to 210 lbs.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the skis with the Attiva bindings on a flat work surface. Put on all of your ski gear, boots and equipment.

    • 2

Stand on the bathroom scale and get your current weight. Use your weight to cross-reference on the Marker DIN chart for your settings and adjustments (see Resources).

    • 3

Grab the screwdriver and find the set screw for the DIN dial on the back of the binding, just behind the hell lock mechanism. Turn the screw to the left to loosen and lower the DIN number on the dial -- found above the set screw. Turn the screw to the right to tighten and increase the number for the DIN.

    • 4

Turn the screw in quarter-turn increments until you reach the recommended DIN setting for your body weight, height and skiing abilities.

    • 5

Push the ski boots into the bindings and lock the heel mechanism to test the adjustments. Pop the ski boots out.
