How to Set My Kryptonite Ski Lock
Instructions
-
-
1
Open the lock using the existing combination, or--if using your lock for the first time--the default combination provided with your lock. The default combination for Kryptonite locks is usually 0-0-0-5.
-
2
Determine which type of reset method your lock uses. The Kryptonite Resettable Combination Cable will have two red reset buttons on the combination side of the lock. They will be near the lock opening. The RCL 1 will have a reset collar that surrounds the lock opening.
-
3
Press the two buttons simultaneously, and turn them counterclockwise until they lock into place. If your lock has a reset collar, twist the reset collar clockwise until it stops.
-
4
Set your new combination by setting the number dials to the desired code. Choose a code that you can remember easily. Write down your code and store in a safe place.
-
5
Press the two reset buttons, and turn them clockwise until they lock in place to store your new combination. For a lock with the reset collar, twist the collar counterclockwise until it stops.
-
6
Insert the lock post into the lock opening. Attempt to open the lock using your new code. If the lock releases the post with the new number code in place, the combination has been set. If the lock does not open with the new combination, go back to Step 1 and retry setting the new combination.
