1
Place your base material template on your snowboard body and at the tip and tail of the board use a pen or pencil to mark the center points where the two sides of metal edge will meet. Cut the correct length of steel edge to fit around your snowboard. Leave a little extra length at the bottom, which you can remove afterwards.

2
Cut a trench in the tubing bender roughly 1.5 – 2mm deep using a rotary tool. Feed the metal strip through the tubing bender tooth by tooth. Complement the shape of the board as you go by continually comparing and bending the metal to match the base template. Clamp the metal edge to the bass template to ensure it fits correctly then trim any excess length.

3
Wipe the newly shaped edges with alcohol using a metal brush to remove any dirt or grease and to ensure the surface will stick better to the base template. Dry the metal edges with lint or a clean rag.

4
Clamp your base material to the body of the snowboard and then clamp the metal edges to the bass material. Leave no space between the edge and base material, especially at the frontal curves. Allow the metal edge to go slightly slack along the straight body of the board while you glue the curves at the front securely.

5
Squeeze the superglue between every metal tooth beginning at the nose of the board, joining the clamped metal edge to the base material. Repeat this process along the entire length of the metal edge. Allow the recommended drying time for the brand of superglue as stated on the bottle. Unclamp the board and flip over the base material to check that it has bonded correctly with the metal edge leaving no spaces.
