How Can I Be a Soccer Player in America?
Instructions

1
Join a soccer team. Many leagues post signs throughout the community with a phone number to call to sign up for a team.
-
2
Pay the signup fee. Depending on your age group, this will probably cost between $50 and $250. The money pays for administration, a jersey and sometimes socks, shorts and cleats. Referee and field rental fees are also included.
-
3
Show up for practices and games. The amount of time you dedicate to your team will increase your status as a soccer player. Players sometimes join leagues with good intentions, but then are absent for many of the games and practices. These players don't give the impression that they are actually soccer players.
-
4
Work hard to improve. Many soccer players are dedicated to getting better at their sport. However, some leagues are only for fun, and simply showing up and playing qualifies you as a soccer player in these leagues.

5
Train when you are away from the field. Jogging on a regular basis can help improve your stamina on the field. Soccer players are respected for their cardiovascular ability, and training will help you be a part of the game rather than being benched or gasping for air on the field.
